In Cañete there was a large movie theater in the center of town until the 1980s. At that time many things still worked. From a child's point of view, the short film transports us to an ordinary afternoon in Cañete, when people still happily went to the movies despite how difficult life was.

The Language of Our Dreams – The Conductor Teodor Currentzis

“The most important work doesn’t take place on stage, but everywhere else,” Teodor Currentzis is convinced. And that is precisely where this film portrait follows him. For eight months, German director Andreas Ammer accompanied the charismatic conductor. He observed him in rehearsals with the SWR Symphony Orchestra, which Currentzis leads as chief conductor since 2018.
