Everyone Is Here

Inspired by a 1975 American touring production of Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town” he visited as a young man, Dmitry Krymov’s “Everyone is Here” is a memory piece, a starting point for a flight of imagination and immersion into his own past. Wilder’s “Our Town” is superimposed on the personal memories of Krymov, his biography and events from his family life. The structure of the play gives rise to an interweaving of events, memories, reminiscences, fantasies, associations, dreams - a carefully planned, as if random confusion, which in the finale leads the viewer to a keen awareness of their own life.

Antigone

Having defied the ban on Creon and offered a burial to Polynice, her treacherous homeland brother, Antigone is condemned to a slow death in a stone tomb, despite the interposition of Hémon, her fiance, the son of Creon . Nevertheless, Creon ends up following the advice of his diviner Tiresias and, fearing the wrath of the gods, buries Polynices with dignity. When he is about to free Antigone, the young woman had already hanged herself. Mad with pain, Hémon commits suicide by his side.

La Bohème

John Copley's enduring production of one of the most famously melodious and popular of all operas is a classic of the Royal Opera repertory. History of the Eye – A Porn-noir Fairy Tale

A free adaptation of the novel History of the Eye, by Georges Bataille, Janaina Leite investigates the relationship between theatre and pornography, a recurring theme in her last shows, in which it is claimed as a scenic art. Hybrid between fiction and non-fiction, Story of the Eye – A Porn-noir Fairy Tale mixes 13 performers, some amateur and sex workers including a porn actor, a camboy, and a camgirl. With the collaboration of erotic film director Lara Duarte and multi-artist André Medeiros Martins, who performs works on art and pornography on different platforms, the play follows the structure of the book to tell, in fairy tale settings, the story of three teenagers in their sexual discoveries. During intermezzo, the audience watches a gig with live music and performances. Between the blatant theatricality and the explicit of pornography, the show recreates this fable noir among the vulgar and the sublime, mundane and cosmic, ordinary and abyssal.

Gerro, Minos and Him

A maelström of shouts, slaps, small dances, kabuki love scenes, tribal singings. Gerro, Minos and Him has been created in Het Veem Theater in January 2012 after two residencies, in the Musée de la Danse de Rennes and in Dansbyran in Gothenburg. Young Billy has been virtually raised by his mother, who is newly divorced from his father. The troubled child is left with the elderly Thayers for some time, as his father and Chelsea take off for a tour of Europe.
