Earth, Wind and Fire - Live in Japan

Earth, Wind & Fire are one of the most dynamic and creative funk bands to come out of the seventies and also one of the most successful. Earth, Wind & Fire was led by Maurice White and this DVD captures them on stage in Japan in 1990 during the last tour that Maurice made with the group following the release of the "Heritage" album. Spectacularly staged as ever, the concert features all their best-loved songs. This all live concert from Japan features: System of Survival, Get Away, September, Fantasy, Shining Star, Kalimba Tree, After the Love Is Gone, For The Love Of You, Reasons, Brazilian Rhyme, Let's Groove and That's The Way of the World. Oils on the Water

On January 13th 1985, Midnight Oil performed the Oils on the Water concert on Goat Island, Sydney, to celebrate radio Triple-J's tenth birthday, before a select crowd of 400 (half competition winners and half staff, media and friends, though other fans swam across). The concert was simulcast live on ABC TV and Triple J radio, released on video, then later remastered as part of the 2004 Best of Both Worlds DVD set. Oils on the Water was a classic Midnight Oil performance and setting with the band in fine high-energy form, caught in the light of the setting sun, against the backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Because of the 1/2 hour time constraint of the show, only a handful of the recorded tracks made it to air. The DVD includes Spare Reels, a 45 minute film which contains live performances and clips of the band in various and random situations. Pretenders - Loose in L.A.

Loose In L.A. is the first Pretenders in concert DVD to be released. The performance was shot live in Hi Def at Los Angeles's historical art deco landmark, the Wiltern Theater. As a bonus there are also six tracks from the first INXS performance for Rockpalast at the Markethalle Hamburg on May 8th 1984, which offers a rare glimpse of the band in their earlier days as they were just starting to break through in Europe.

To Save a Child: An Intimate Live Concert is a live album by British rock musician Eric Clapton, released on 26 April 2024. The album features a concert by Clapton that was recorded in London in front of a small audience on 8 December 2023, which featured a guest appearance by Dhani Harrison on the song "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)", a cover of George Harrison's 1973 song. Proceeds from the sales of To Save a Child: An Intimate Live Concert were donated to aid children in Gaza in response to the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip.

Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan - In Session

Recorded for a television program of the same name back in 1983, In Session bills itself as the only known recording of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Albert King, who was Vaughan's idol and mentor, playing together. That leads to some heavy expectations, which fortunately aren't disappointed, at least if you aren't expecting the customary over-the-top performances Vaughan was famous for. His playing here is much more laid-back and controlled, which is actually a recommendation--the stylistic similarities between teacher and student are that much more pronounced. The songs are mostly King concert staples, with the exception of "Pride and Joy"; highlights include the T-Bone Walker classic "Call It Stormy Monday" and one of King's own, "Overall Junction," which features some excellent guitar solo work. The snippets of recorded conversation between songs are interesting curiosities as well. --Genevieve Williams

VOICES was a concert held on February 18th, 2006, at the Pacifico Yokohoma Conference and Convention Center in Japan. It featured vocal arrangements from the Final Fantasy series, including an acapella doo-wop medley, orchestral versions of the series' ballads, and a symphonic metal finale performed by the Black Mages. This DVD contains the entire concert.
