Internet songwriter Chow (Cherry Ngan) is gifted with an extraordinary retentive memory. She never forgets anything she has heard. One day, she was kidnapped by Yung (Ronald Cheng), a street punk, to a remote fish raft so desolate that an escape plan seems to be a mission impossible. In the hope to flee with the only ability she has, Chow offers to give a spiritual music therapy to the rather maniacal kidnapper. What happens next is beyond anyone’s imagination – the two who have nothing in common begin to form an intimate bond and connection through music. Bare Transit

Bare Transit follows the journey of a 23-year-old yoga teacher, Mia, who has travelled back to India from the UK to seek resolution and forgiveness. The film is the debut feature from Irish poet and photographer, O.P. Durkin, and is the first release from creative collective Nodrum. The film was shot in 2019–20 commencing in north India in the mountain town of Minali and continues on a journey in an ancient bus, through the Indian continent to south Goa. The film uses a mixture of professional and amateur actors and crew and was in itself a journey of discovery for all involved. Filming finished just a few weeks before the world and the nature of human interaction changed with the global reaction to the COVID-19 virus. The musical soundtrack comes from the shamanic binaural beats of MEYA.

Among the Stars: Terra Firma

This short film tackles themes of finding your place of belonging and purpose. Among the Stars: Terra Firma is a collaboration between trumpeter and media composer Ethan McInerney and animator Dean de Barros, reflecting on their pursuits to find their place in the world.
