Verona

Ten years after the end of the dance music duo Verona, Elias come back to Brazil to meet his former partner, Walter, who is going to marry the young and talented Filipe. Walter lives in a countryside house, where he celebrates the end of his youth and the beginning of a new moment in his life.

The Storm

The Kuwaiti short film العاصفة (The Storm) explores Kuwait's social and economic shifts before and after the discovery of oil. Through the perspectives of an older father and his modernized son, it delves into the challenges of tradition versus rapid modernization.

Judgement

At the identification of a dead body, a couple and a morgue employee both claim to be related to the deceased, and therefore the rightful recipient of an indemnity of at least 520,000.

Goodbye Mommy

This horror machinima short by Alvin Soprano tells the story of little Lucy walking in on her recently deceased mother crossing over to the light.

Truck Driver

In a boarding school, Raidel is witness to the abuse suffered by his schoolmate Randy.

Cremaster 5

Cremaster 5 is a five-act opera (sung in Hungarian) set in late-ninteenth century Budapest. The last film in the series, Cremaster 5 represents the moment when the testicles are finally released and sexual differentiation is fully attained. The lamenting tone of the opera suggests that Barney invisions this as a moment of tragedy and loss. The primary character is the Queen of Chain (played by Ursula Andress). Barney, himself, plays three characters who appear in the mind of the Queen: her Diva, Magician, and Giant. The Magician is a stand-in for Harry Houdini, who was born in Budapest in 1874 and appears as a recurring character in the Cremaster cycle.

Distances

Eva and David have a complicated mother-son relationship. They try to reach each other but do not quite know how. One problem is the language barrier, as David is deaf and Eva is not very good at sign language. After moving back to her country of birth, Eva comes to Sweden on a short visit, where she discovers what so many parents do throughout the lives of their offspring - your children never cease to surprise you.

Acting Love

Soo-hyuk works for a dating agency and changes partners several times a day. He's tired and skeptical of clients who want violent sex, but when he enters a strange house today, the man is strangely sweet.

Barely in Love

When a new troupe leader joins the 'Bnai Akiva' boy scouts movement, Yotam's world trembles. Frogs

It’s dripping through the ceiling, the space for sleeping is scarce. Under poor living conditions, a young mother handles everyday life with her two daughters in the Brazilian suburb as best she can. When they unexpectedly acquire a load of frog legs, this gives rise to a celebration that will not soon be forgotten.

The Boy Who Couldn't Swim

Two teen boys meet each other in Copenhagen and team up to find one of the boys' mother. Instead they end up finding themselves - and each other.

Reflection

Tara is a single mother, harried, overworked, and worried about her 8-year-old boy and his growing love for make-up and dresses. She struggles to find a balance for her and her son, but slowly unravels her true feelings towards her gender non-conforming child.

Gayndr II

In this short film the audience is confronted by one young man and his reaction to text messages received from other guys on different gay dating apps. It explores communication between gay men today and the use of dating apps.

The Clearing

In this short film written and directed by Alexis Bisticas, the audience sees through the eyes of a man in the woods, following the distant sound of a saxophone. In a single take, the fluid steadicam shot takes the viewer on a surreal and poetic journey, as the walker comes across everything from family picnics to men in bondage suits.

Home

A reunion between a mother and her pregnant daughter, who need a moment to recognize themselves and to understand that they will live together again in a new situation for both of them. An exercise made by the author during her second trimester at the London Film School, inspired by the painting "La Coiffure" by Edgar Degas.

Sycorax

Who is Sycorax? The first character in Shakespeare's "Tempest" to set foot on the island. The problem is that she has no voice. She is barely mentioned by Prospero as a crooked, old, wicked witch who vilely locked Ariel, the spirit of the air, in a tree. But why would she do that? Here, we wouldn't believe Prospero so much.

During the trip back from their vacation, a young couple is stranded in the middle of the road and they lose all forms of communication, including each other.

Ahí donde no estamos

Regina receives news, she has obtained a scholarship to study abroad; she must decide whether to make the decision to leave or stay beside the people she loves.

Requited

Nicolas, a young man in his mid 20s, struggles to decide whether or not to go to the wedding of his best friend from high school, Aaron, who he's always been quietly in love with. The two had a falling out years earlier after Nicolas inexplicably kissed Aaron's girlfriend. Nicolas clings to an idealized image of his former friend, unconsciously sabotaging his own happiness in the process. The film is a realistic slice-of-life that poses the question "How do you get over something you never had?"

Revolution

A coming-of-age story about Jack, a 16-year old Iranian boy growing up in 1989 Los Angeles. With the 1979 Iranian Revolution a distant memory, the AIDS movement as a backdrop, and a haunting score by Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij, Jack learns how to stage his own much smaller revolution within the confines of his traditional family.

Frozen Roads

Balthazar and siblings Christian and Lyla have been friends since childhood. As the trio struggles with coming of age in a rural, conservative Canadian town, they must confront escalating desires for one another that threaten to destroy their delicate bond.
