Life of a Mutt

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

George Benson - Live at Montreux

George selected this show from 1986 from his more than 11 performances at Montreux. Included are 18 classics and hit tracks. Before he became a radio-friendly pop star specializing in smooth R&B, George Benson made his mark as a hard-swinging jazz guitarist in the tradition of his mentor and influence, Wes Montgomery. This concert film was hand-chosen by Benson as a personal favorite of his dozen or so appearances at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival, delivering live renditions of classic hits from both phases of his career, including "Lady Love Me (One More Time)," "Turn Your Love Around," "In Your Eyes," and, of course, "On Broadway."

Gros câlin

Monsieur Cousin, a lonely Parisian statistician, shares his small apartment with a python named Gros-Câlin, seeking warmth and companionship. Infatuated with his coworker, Mlle Dreyfus, he awkwardly tries to win her affection, misinterpreting social cues and struggling with human connection. His eccentric attachment to the snake alienates him further, as his longing for intimacy blurs the line between reality and fantasy. Despite seeking advice and making misguided attempts at love, he remains isolated. The film follows his tragicomic struggle, ending ambiguously as he grapples with his unfulfilled need for human warmth.

The Egyptian soap opera is programmed in Algeria by ENTV during the month of Ramadan, in October 2006, at 5 p.m. The series will be accompanied by an eponymous album by Warda “An El Awa” (2006).
