Metamorphosis is a real ballet dance on the rocks, interpreted by a great climber, Patrick Berhault, and set in the picturesque countryside of Cote d'Azur and the Lingurian coast. Berhault's evolutions, in the sea, in the grottoes, on the rocks and precipices, are exceedingly difficult but they are chiefly performed to give the movement an aesthetic value. Matemorphosis is the story of a cycle without words, narrated with gestures and music. The climber Monique Dalmasso also partecipates in the film.

Sentenced for a crime without trial, Private Gerren Pascoe is sent to a remote outpost to report on the movements of enemy ships. Isolated with only a surly and unhinged superior for company, the men descend into a maelstrom of chaos, debauchery and fear. In search of housing, a student stumbles upon an advertisement for renting an apartment at a very reasonable fee—and promptly agrees with a woman who recently laid her son to rest, complying with all her conditions. This moment when she manages to take control of it, is flooded with flashes of mirrors that reveal to the viewer and the spirit what motivates her to continue her journey.
