A weekly magazine called Crime News announces a story competition. A group of young men submits a well-crafted story, but Ahmed, the magazine's editor, rejects it. The young men decide to take revenge on him. Ahmed takes his fiancée to the train station, and while he is returning, a girl named Hoda falls in front of his car and steals his car, and events escalate.

Carlos, desperate for not receiving a response from his boyfriend, takes a taxi that will take him to various parts of the city to look for him and to find himself through Aurelio, the driver of the vehicle that will transport him in the middle of the night.

The Cranes Are Flying

Veronika and Boris come together in Moscow shortly before World War II. Walking along the river, they watch cranes fly overhead, and promise to rendezvous before Boris leaves to fight. Boris misses the meeting and is off to the front lines, while Veronika waits patiently, sending letters faithfully. After her house is bombed, Veronika moves in with Boris' family, into the company of a cousin with his own intentions.
