Honorable Skate

For more than 20 years, skaters from Asunción have been demanding from the authorities, without being heard, a public space where they can practice the sport. “Honorable Skate” is a cry of struggle. A request that became a demand. It is our way of saying that we are here and we will continue to be here. A wish that we want to come true, not for ourselves, but for the little ones. It is a tribute to the effort of all skaters who, throughout decades of self-management and dedication to a sport that is now Olympic, despite the falls always got back up.

It debuted alongside a viewing/listening event at Los Angeles’ HVW8 Gallery, emphasizing Lockhart’s role as both a storyteller and cultural curator​.

Concrete Dreams

Murilo Peres and Pedro Barros get a once-in-a-lifetime pass to roll on the fabled curves of some undisputed masterpieces of modern architecture. Oscar Niemeyer remains one of the most important architects in modern history. The Brazilian visionary, who died in 2012 aged 104, elevated modern architecture beyond the realms of function and created buildings that are works of art and express the highest attributes of humanity. His work with reinforced concrete in particular created new architectural forms and possibilities, eschewing the tyranny of angles to create waves and swooping arches of such soaring beauty that they represent nothing less than physical poetry.

And this is exactly the life of furniture shop owners Ivana and Vaclav Strnadovi, 2 characters that a director Helena Trestíková follows with her camera as of the year 1980 within a project The Marriage Story.
