The fourth film in the Tales of a Gunman series. When Ryuji throws his pistol into the sea, he is attacked by a man who calls himself Sabu and says that he is the younger brother of Colt Jo's killer. When Ryuji escaped difficulties with one blow knocking out the enemy's weapon, Sabu reveals that Colt Jo is in the hospital in Gifu. Ryuji decides to visit his old enemy. However, he does not know that this is a trap.

Game of Chance 3

Bungo, fulfilling his duty as a yakuza, kills a man from a rival gang. Since then, he has escaped the clan's vengeance by staying on the road with his son Kenichi. Tired of running, the two settle in a mountain town. Bungo finds work as a lumberjack for the Iwasaki family and Kenichi becomes a student at the local elementary school. Regrettably, their good fortune doesn't last. The yakuza boss, Tomitaka, wants control of the town's lumber and is willing to destroy the Iwasaki to get it. Zatoichi Meets the One-Armed Swordsman

The second film in the "Suruga yukyoden" series, in which Shintaro Katsu plays Jirocho Shimizu. The film features Omasa, Komasa, Ocho, who will become Jirocho's wife, as well as other members of his future family. There is a particularly great swordfight near the end where Katsu and cronies attack the rival villainous yakuza clan to rescue their ailing, elderly boss. The action choreography, cinematography and editing of this sequence is quite brilliant, treading a difficult tightrope act between genuinely goofy antics and exhilirating, bloody violence.
