After legendary wrestler and promoter Rikidozan conceded operations of Japan’s wrestling landscape, two men were given the keys to that kingdom. Those men, Antonio Inoki and Shohei Baba, would work together both in the ring as a team and also running the promotion. That is until Inoki and Baba parted to form their own respective promotions. American “gaijin” made fortunes and often swore allegiance to one or the other promoter, touring Japan for either All Japan or New Japan. And tonight’s guest worked for both and became Japan’s most famous gaijin. Verne Gagne became the face and the soul of the powerhouse territory from Minnesota, and the closest person to him, his son Greg Gagne, joins Jim Cornette for a walk through Verne’s life and the history of the AWA. From the days of Morris Sigel to the unprecedented success of Paul Boesch, the story of Houston wrestling is fascinating for not only its importance to the NWA, but also the sheer length of its reign and influence. The Texas powerhouse promotion had no equal in the Lone Star State, and its might yielded both prosperity and controversy. The territory saw gates that crushed those of the other Texas promotions. It was center stage for the Funk/Brisco family feud, hosting the switch of the NWA title to Jack Brisco. Join Bruce Prichard and Jim Cornette as they dissect everything possible about the classic territory. Bruce was a young acolyte, cutting his teeth in the territory and his closeness to Boesch and the entire operation put him front and center for much of what is discussed. AEW Dynasty

AEW Dynasty was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It took place on April 21, 2024, at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, marking AEW's first pay-per-view event to be held in Missouri. Twelve matches were contested at the event, including three on the "Zero Hour" pre-show. In the main event, Swerve Strickland faced off against Samoa Joe to for the AEW World Championship.

Dynamite Kid: A Matter of Pride

The definitive documentary about wrestling legend Dynamite Kid and his impact in the world of professtional wrestling. What resulted was a very emotional journey into a career cut short by the abuses of steroids, alcohol, drugs, and a complete disregard for his own physical limitations. Dynamite Kid started as a young Englishmen trained in the infamous Snake Pit by Ted Betely and turned an opportunity given to him by the Hart Family in Calgary into a phenomenal worldwide wrestling career. Dynamite Kid was on the front lines of changing professional wrestling from a big man carnival act into an exciting action based entertainment industry where lightweight and physically gifted performers were the focal point of the show. He dazzled an international audience with matches against Tiger Mask that are still a bench mark today.

Hercules is sent from Mount Olympus to modern-day Manhattan, where he takes up professional wrestling before getting mixed up with a gang of mobsters.

WWE Backlash 2023

The 2023 Backlash is the upcoming 18th Backlash professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and live streaming event produced by WWE. It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico, marking the first WWE event held in Puerto Rico since New Year's Revolution in 2005, and only the second event overall. After the previous two years were titled "WrestleMania Backlash", the 2023 event reverted to its original name, but maintained its post-WrestleMania concept, with the 2023 event based around the backlash from WrestleMania 39. Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny will serve as the host of the event.

WWE Night of Champions 2023

The 2023 Night of Champions is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and live-streaming event produced by WWE. This will be the 10th Night of Champions event, the first since the 2015 event, and the first to live stream on Peacock. The event will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions and will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will be the ninth event that WWE will hold in Saudi Arabia under a 10-year partnership supporting Saudi Vision 2030. Originally known as the King and Queen of the Ring as its 12th event since 2002, the WWE renamed the event on April 13, 2023, to coincide with the 1,000-day reign of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

RevPro: High Stakes 2024

RevPro High Stakes was a professional wrestling event held by Revolution Pro Wrestling on February 18, 2024 at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in London, England. This was Will Ospreay's farewell match for RevPro, as he faced Michael Oku in the main event for the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship. Other matches included an Unidsputed British Women's Championship match between Safire Reed vs Dani Luna, Shingo Takagi vs Trent Seven (Trent Seven served as an injury replacement for Gabe Kid), Mustafa Ali vs Robbie X, Luke Jacobs vs JJ Gale - and others.

Beyond Extreme Warfare Revenge

Cibernetico: 7 Man Army, Beyond came out on top. This time, Beyond Wrestling is hosting the festivities on December 16th with Extreme Warfare Revenge. The show will start at 5:00 PM Eastern. Will Beyond continue to rule the day, or will CHIKARA get revenge?

WSU Breaking Barriers 5

WSU returned on Saturday to present Breaking Barriers 5 from the Colossal Sports Academy at the Coliseum in Voorhees, NJ. The Premier Promotion in North American Women's Wrestling ushered in a new era at the event. In addition to the many new additions to the roster, ALL three championships were on the line. First, Maria Manic defended the WSU Tag Team Championships with an unlikely partner against unlikely opponents. Then, Kiera Hogan returned to defend the Spirit Championship against Jordynne Grace. Finally, the main event saw Mercedes Martinez defend the WSU World Championship against Tessa Blanchard. All this and so much more went down on Saturday at Breaking Barriers 5.

Women’s Wrestling Revolution presented ‘Identity Crisis’ in Providence, Rhode Island this past weekend on March 4th, 2017.
