This documentary follows the French soccer team on their way to victory in the 1998 World Cup in France. Stéphane Meunier spent the whole time filming the players, the coach and some other important characters of this victory, giving us a very intimate and nice view of them, as if we were with them.

Azzurri: Road to Wembley

A docu-film that traces the victorious ride of Mancini's Azzurri, from the debut match to the final against England. A troupe lived with the Azzurri for a month, to bring the spectators into the lives of the players and all the members of the staff, between training sessions, matches, travels and celebrations. An adventure told through the voices of the protagonists, who confided dreams, joys, pains and hopes to the cameras. "Blue Dream, the road to Wembley" is the completion of a project started a year ago together with the FIGC, to tell the national team's approach to the European Championships through the 4 episodes aired in the days immediately preceding the European Championship, bringing the new television language of the docu-series to one of the most important time slots of the first generalist network. Daniel Pennac: Ho visto Maradona!

Rehearsals for a play about Maradona in Naples, with Italian actors and an Argentine director. Nothing about Maradona except anecdotes about his figure from the Neapolitans; one of the actors had come to play football. They were all 'touched' by Maradona, as is logical. Pennac is very intelligent, but he has never seen a ball in his life: his fascination comes from the public figure of Maradona, from the totem, from the stupor that invaded him when many friends confessed to having cried at his death. The spectator, Maradonian or not, has an irrepressible desire to travel to Naples and join the song that he sees towards the end of the film, which is moving and overwhelming in its beauty and simplicity. Ideal for theater lovers, or Maradona lovers, or both.

Arema "Agama Kedua"

People in Malang call them "Aremania." Arema FC is deeply rooted in them and has spread to the rest of Indonesia. Aremania is not simply the Arema supporters' group but also a "Second Religion." Arema is a lifestyle that has been an inspiration to Malang citizens.

"Players and coaches may change, but supporters will remain loyal to their beloved team until the end of their life." Lintang Sae Martasari is a football supporter of her pride football team, PSIM Yogyakarta. Lintang is a member of Brajamolek (women supporters of PSIM Yogyakarta) and serves as vice chairman. She never fails to watch and support her team. Even though she often gets mocked by people who see the football supporters as gangs of vandals, rioters, and brawlers. On top of that, she also struggles against the stigma associated with female supporters.

Chelsea FC - Season Review 2021/22

In Thomas Tuchel's first full year in charge, the European champions became champions of the world, adding two more trophies to the collection and were sudden-death spot-kicks away from celebrating twice more. Bolstered by the continued emergence of Academy graduates and the returning Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea were a permanent fixture in the Premier League's top four. In the first of the three finals decided by penalty shoot-outs, the UEFA Super Cup was secured in Belfast while Kai Havertz was again the hero as the Blues captured the FIFA Club World Cup. Further silverware was so close, but Chelsea were twice denied by Liverpool. First, in a dramatic 21-goal shoot-out in the final of the Carabao Cup and then agonisingly again in the FA Cup Final. As the Roman Abramovich era at Stamford Bridge came to an end it was still a season of success, but also one of what could have been, although the Blues proved once again we are among the very best.

BALL is an investigative and humorous film about the supporting roles of football. What happens when you turn the camera beyond the pitch? We get caught up in rituals among judges and linemen, follow the zealous accuracy of the material and that of the photographers looking for the perfect image. We study the audience up close, big and small emotions build a mood at least as exciting as what happens on the pitch. On site in a football arena, we get to follow a match from different points of view but we never see the ball. A consideration of everything that happens around at a football game.

Forza Bastia

"Forza Bastia" is a 26-minute film documenting a UEFA Cup match between PSV Eindhoven and French club SC Bastia at the Furiani Stadium in 1978. Jacques Tati directed the piece at the request of friend Gilberto Trigano – the President of the Bastia club at that time. It was subsequently shelved and kept in storage until Tati's daughter Sophie Tatischeff eventually assembled the footage for release in 2002.

The film tells the story of the fight for a national soccer team in West Germany and East Germany. It tells of the forgotten lifetime achievements of the German female soccer pioneers and the fight for their place "on the pitch". A fight full of unbelievable, almost absurd twists and turns and stories that reveal a great deal about male heroic images and clichéd images of women in East and West.
