Live Trax Vol. 44: 9.4.16 The Gorge Amphitheatre, George, WA With the spectacular river gorge as the backdrop, Dave Matthews Band took their final bow of the 2016 tour at the Gorge Amphitheatre before heading into an extended hiatus. This show from September 4th kicked off with “The Stone,” complete with an audience sing-along, and ended with a two-song encore of “Pig” and “Stay (Wasting Time).” Special guests included Carlos Malta on woodwinds on “Say Goodbye,” “The Maker,” and “Typical Situation,” while touring crew member Joe Lawlor played guitar on a fiery performance of “Rhyme & Reason.”

Summer Night Concert: 2018 - Vienna Philharmonic

The Summer Night Concert of The Vienna Philharmonic is the world's biggest annual classical open-air concert set in the magical Schönbrunn Palace Baroque park in Vienna. The concert will take place on 31 May 2018 and its theme for this year is 'An Italian Night'. The concert is broadcast on TV and radio in more than 60 countries, and thus reaches an audience of millions. The evening’s repertoire is an attractive combination of extremely popular works for orchestra including the William Tell Overture, the March from the opera Aida and the Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana, as well as famous Soprano arias like Vissi d’arte, vissi d‘amore from the Opera Tosca. Valery Gergiev returns to conducts the Summer Night Concert and is joined by star Soprano Anna Netrebko in what promises to be one of the most popular concerts this year!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra & Savatage: Wacken Open Air 2015

At Wacken Open Air (W:O:A) 2015 music festival in northern Germany, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA (TSO) and SAVATAGE wowed 80,000-plus attendees with a never-before-attempted music festival performance. Following a 40-minute SAVATAGE set and a 40-minute TSO set, TSO and SAVATAGE band members, across two of the festival's main stages, performed a perfectly coordinated set of fan favorites. This ambitious feat, both musically and logistically, was helmed by Paul O'Neill. Al Pitrelli led TSO on the "True Metal Stage" and Jon Oliva headed SAVATAGE on the "Black Stage." Beyond the unprecedented act of two bands hitting the stage at the same time, this show was also memorable as it marked progressive metal originators SAVATAGE's first show in over a decade, TSO's first European festival show, as well as the only live appearances of both bands in Europe in 2015.

This semi-concocted chronicle also contains classic moments from AL-TV, footage from his trip to Japan, and a somewhat embellished version of how he received permission from Michael Jackson for "Eat It".
