In the middle of a broadcast about Typhoon Yolanda's initial impact, reporter Jiggy Manicad was faced with the reality that he no longer had communication with his station. They were, for all intents and purposes, stranded in Tacloban. With little option, and his crew started the six hour walk to Alto, where the closest broadcast antenna was to be found. Letting the world know what was happening to was a priority, but they were driven by the need to let their families and friends know they were all still alive. Along the way, they encountered residents and victims of the massive typhoon, and with each step it became increasingly clear just how devastating this storm was. This was a storm that was going to change lives.

Ha-jong feels guilty as she couldn't help her sister and she becomes desperate to find the murderer.

Ti va di ballare?

Il cinema ha ballato mille volte. Forse diecimila. E quando la musica, ormai parte fondamentale di ogni film, si fonde con la trama il potere di seduzione nei confronti del pubblico si amplifica enormemente. Hollywood lo sa da sempre, da Cappello a cilindro fino al recente Shall we dance. Il titolo originale Take the lead, letteralmente "prendi la guida", "guidami", aveva sicuramente un impatto più immediato dell'italiano "ti va di ballare", perché la storia vera di Mr. Dulaine, insegnante di standards (i balli classici come il Waltzer, il Fox Trot, il Tango) impegnato a coinvolgere un gruppo di giovani avviatisi su una cattiva strada, è un vero esempio di leadership, al punto da poter essere utilizzato nelle scuole di management.

A Bomont invece quella "sana" terapia giovanile, il rock, è messa al bando da una legge comunale, difesa ad oltranza dal pastore della Chiesa locale, che ha perduto suo figlio in un incidente stradale, dopo una serata trascorsa a ballare. Ariel, la figlia del pastore, si innamora a prima vista di Ren, questi, a sua volta, ce la mette tutta per far tornare nella legalità il ballo e la musica rock nel paese, dominato paternalisticamente dal repressivo padre di lei.

Nella vita è sempre necessario vivere in armonia, a ritmo di musica, e un uomo di mezza età, che trascorre le sue giornate fra casa e ufficio, con una moglie e due figli, ne è consapevole, e deve trovare una soluzione. John, un Richard Gere, piacevole e divertito, riscoprirà nel ballo e in un'affascinante insegnante, l'amore per le cose che ha. Idealmente un'interessante analisi sulla vita routinaria nella società odierna, questa commedia americana, che ha la sua forza nei ruoli comprimari, fra cui spicca un'irresistibile Stanley Tucci, si lascia andare negli ultimi minuti, con una superficiale riflessione sulla crisi matrimoniale e uno zuccheroso lieto fine.
