Vertical Miles

Due "Mauro" per due generazioni di alpinismo a confronto. Uno è Mauro Corona, scultore, alpinista, scrittore. Di sicuro una delle più note personalità del mondo verticale. L'altro è Mauro "Bubu" Bole, vent'anni in meno, alpinista fortissimo su ogni tipo di terreno, e personaggio ancora in ascesa nel panorama nazionale. Nel film i due alpinisti vanno ad arrampicare insieme. Ma ciò su cui si focalizzano le immagini non è tanto la parete scalata insieme, quanto il viaggio per raggiungere la meta e i discorsi scambiati dai due in macchina durante il tragitto. Una chiaccherata che diventa per il regista, Cristian Furlan, il pretesto di un film che racconta le imprese più spettacolari di Bole. Gli itinerari sono tutti di difficoltà estrema: la prima salita in arrampicata libera della via Couzy alla parete Nord della cima Ovest di Lavaredo, la Salathè su El Capitan, in California, e le prime assolute di Cruz del Sur in perù e Women and chalk in Pakistan.

141 A.D. Mission in Dacia

Year 141 after Christ, in the Roman province of Dacia. An unusual appearance of a comet is observed on the night sky. The astrologers think it is a bad sign that will bring misfortune and death.
