Johnstone, è il più surreale, caotico e anarchico film marxiano nella sua satira della cultura universitaria USA. “Di qualsiasi cosa si tratti, io sono contro!” (I'm against it!), canta Groucho in apertura, e tutto il film, giocato sulla corda dell'assurdo, è sulla stessa riga antiautoritaria sino alla strepitosa partita conclusiva.
