Radini-Tedeschi. Quindi i dieci anni vissuti in Bulgaria come visitatore apostolico, gli anni passati in Turchia e Grecia come delegato apostolico, la nunziatura a Parigi, il patriarcato a Venezia, ed, infine, l'elezione al Pontificato.
