San Francisco filmmaker Konrad Steiner took 12 years to complete a montage cycle set to the late Leslie Scalapino’s most celebrated poem, way—a sprawling book-length odyssey of shardlike urban impressions, fraught with obliquely felt social and sexual tensions. Six stylistically distinctive films for each section of way, using sources ranging from Kodachrome footage of sun-kissed S.F. street scenes to internet clips of the Iraq war to a fragmented Fred Astaire dance number.

A documentary about the legendary and influential comedian, actor and writer, who went out from the BBC to conquer Hollywood, but sadly the system quickly withdrew its support when they couldn't contain his talents. This portrait is spiked with many comments from people who knew Feldman privately or had dealt with him professionally. His early death sadly rendered him all but forgotten by the public. The compilation consists of interviews, some film clips and photos as well as various audio clips from him.

Oscar e un amico compiono una rapina in un negozio, nella quale l'amico muore e Oscar finisce in carcere. Là stringe amicizia con l'anziano compagno di cella che ha nascosto dei soldi prima di finire carcerato. Nella prigione c'è una spietata guardia, Gully, che vuole sapere dove sia stata nascosta la refurtiva, ma l'anziano carcerato non glielo rivela. Gully, indispettito, l'uccide e gli sottrae un disegno sul quale sono riportate le indicazioni per arrivare al bottino. Prima di morire, il vecchio si fa promettere da Oscar che avrebbe ucciso Gully e gli rivela che la refurtiva è nascosta in un cimitero. Dopo pochi anni Oscar esce di prigione e va in cerca di Gully, che non lavora più in carcere.

The Final Test

Legendary England cricketer Sam Palmer (Jack Warner) is due to bat in his final test match against Australia. He is desperate for his son Reggie (Ray Jackson) to see his final innings. Alvar Aalto: Technology and Nature

The Finnish architect Alvar Aalto (1898–1976) is one of the great figures of modern architecture, ranked alongside Gropius, Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe. This film analyses Aalto’s uniquely successful resolution of the demands and possibilities created by new technology and construction materials with the need to make his buildings sympathetic both to their users and to their natural surroundings. His inventive use of timber in particular represents both a reference to the forest landscape of Finland and a building material that is ‘warm’ and extremely adaptable. Filmed in Finland, Italy, Germany and the USA, this documentary shows how the Finnish natural environment and art traditions were essential elements in Aalto’s pioneering harmonization of technology and nature.
