The sixteenth night of the tournament took place on August 8th, 2023 at Act City Hamamatsu in Naka-ku, Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan.

A bookshop renowned for its rare works is mysteriously and filled with copies of a book entitled 1, which doesn't appear to have a publisher or author. The strange almanac describes what happens to humanity in a minute. A police investigation begins and the bookshop staff are placed in solitary confinement by the Bureau for Paranormal Research. As the investigation progresses, the situation becomes more complex and the book becomes increasingly well-known, raising numerous controversies. Plagued by doubts, the protagonist has to face facts: reality only exists in the imagination of individuals.

Il primo incontro sembra volgere in tragedia, poi tutto si risolve con una risata. Agli inizi di carriera Corbucci aveva qualche pretesa di analisi sociale, subito abbandonata. Questo è un ritratto d'ambiente post-neorealista, incerto ma con qualche momento acuto.

Amazed by the moan through the porch, Eun-young opens the door to her curiosity and sees Ha-na and Young-soo having sex on the sofa, and feels a strange feeling. He stutters his body unknowingly. From then on, he suffers from the sound of sex in his head... Meanwhile, one of the winners of the 4-person family pension tells Eun-young, who is in front of her, to go to the pension when it's time. Mazie lends her necklace to Nellie, her guest. Nellie is asleep in a hammock when Sam, her sweetheart, arrives in his auto. He awakens Nellie with a kiss. As she starts up she drops the necklace in the grass and their efforts to find it prove futile. Sam promises to buy her one to replace it, thinking it was her own properly. He has her minutely describe it that he may get an exact duplicate. Meanwhile, the governess has found the necklace and given it to its owner, Mazie, who is unknown to Sam. He sees it on Mazie's neck and after a chase insists on purchasing it.

L'arrivo di un treno alla stazione di La Ciotat

Un gruppo di persone sono in piedi lungo la piattaforma della stazione ferroviaria di La Ciotat, in attesa di un treno. Il treno arriva da lontano, finché alla fine si ferma alla piattaforma. Le porte delle vetture si aprono e gli assistenti aiutano i passeggeri a scendere e salire. La leggenda narra che, quando il film fu mostrato la prima volta, il pubblico fuggì dal caffè in preda al terrore, perché convinti che il treno avesse potuto investiti. Anche se si pensa che la leggenda non sia altro che un racconto promozionale, gli spettatori rimasero certamente sbalorditi dalle capacità del cinematografo.

Un film documentario sperimentale tedesco girato a Berlino da Walter Ruttmann nel settembre del 1927, che descrive una giornata nella grande metropoli tedesca, che proprio in quegli annii stava vivendo un grande boom industriale, e permette di dare uno sguardo alle abitudini di vita e di lavoro di quei tempi. L'idea di Ruttman era quella rappresentare la metropoli berlinese come un organismo vivente: il regista vedeva un'analogia tra la vita della città, dal lento risveglio della città alla frenesia del giorno fino al progressivo spegnimento serale, e l'andamento di una sinfonia.
