Sangue del mio sangue

Federico, giovane uomo d’armi, viene spinto dalla madre a recarsi nella prigione-convento di Bobbio dove suor Benedetta è accusata di stregoneria per aver sedotto Fabrizio, fratello gemello di Federico, e averlo indotto a tradire la sua missione sacerdotale. La madre preme affinché Federico riabiliti la memoria del gemello, ma anche lui viene incantato da Benedetta. Ai giorni nostri, a quel portone del convento trasformato poi in prigione e apparentemente abbandonato, bussa Federico Mai, sedicente ispettore del Ministero, accompagnato da Rikalkov, un miliardario russo, che lo vorrebbe acquistare. In realtà quel luogo è ancora abitato da un misterioso Conte che occupa abusivamente alcune celle dell’antica prigione e che si aggira in città solo di notte.

Irene è una donna bella e di successo. Appena finiti gli studi, ha abbandonato la campagna salentina per trasferirsi nella capitale, dove, contando solo sulle proprie forze, ha avviato una casa di produzione. I suoi sono giorni indaffarati, tra tanto lavoro, un figlio adolescente e un ex marito assente. Quando sua madre decide di vendere la villa di famiglia, Irene pensa di utilizzare la sua parte di ricavato per superare un momento di difficoltà economiche. Ma succede qualcosa di inaspettato. Ada, la vecchia governante, si rifiuta di lasciare la casa. Irene è costretta a tornare in quel paesino che le è sempre stato stretto e confrontarsi con una dimensione arcaica che ormai non le appartiene più. Ma è una donna determinata e cacciare Ada non sarà un problema... o almeno così crede.

The story of the black Christmas comedy Doblba! takes place in the extended Muk family. The main character is Karel Muk, a simple man with simple dreams, living a somewhat stereotypical married life with Tereza, the stepmother of Karel's daughter Valinka. In the words of the script: ... Karel worked for many years as a cemetery caretaker and liked to say: "Only death is certain," but he never admitted that it could affect him in any way. There wasn't much to praise him for. His brother Robert Muk, on the other hand, is a confident and practical businessman, and the youngest, Pavel, seems unable to decide whether to find meaning in life in protecting the Šumava forests or in erotic games with secretaries. One day, shortly before Christmas, the Muk family receives an unexpected inheritance.

Una famiglia di matti

Papà Gimplewart, esasperato da una famiglia di vicini matti che genera continuamente confusione e schiamazzi, cerca di vendere la propria casa. Gimplewart, attraverso un annuncio su un quotidiano, riesce, al secondo tentativo, a permutare la propria magione con un'altra casa, apparentemente migliore e sicuramente più tranquilla. In realtà la nuova villa, costruita con materiali scadenti, crea mille inconvenienti: le porte si staccano, la balaustra delle scale crolla, la vasca da bagno perde e si spacca, mentre l'acqua, filtrando attraverso il pavimento, piove letteralmente nei piatti degli invitati a cena seduti a tavola al pianterreno. Mentre la casa lentamente rischia di crollare al suolo il povero Gimplewart si accorge che i suoi vicini matti si sono trasferiti a fianco alla sua nuova abitazione.

They were among the most staunch and fearless enemies of fascism, as shown here in personal interviews and memoirs of war-time experiences. But the most famous of these immigrants were 23 who were rounded up among several hundred Parisians in 1943, tried for their activities, and executed -- all were immigrants under the leadership of the Armenian poet Manouchian. After their execution, Paris was papered with posters decrying these 23 martyrs as "foreign communists."
