A male lion, right next to bars that are about 6 or 8 inches apart, keenly watches a uniformed zoo attendant toss small morsels of food into the cage. The lion alternates between finding the food on the cage floor and reaching through the bars to swipe at the man, who stays alarmingly close to the beast. In the background are the large rocks and brick wall at the back of the lion's habitat.

Paperino, durante un soggiorno invernale presso una baita, si alza dal letto per raccogliere legna per il camino. S'imbatte quindi in un piccolo tronco, dove risiedono Cip & Ciop con le loro provviste. Tornato in casa, Paperino si accinge ad accendere il fuoco ed i due scoiattoli fanno di tutto pur di spegnerlo e di riportare al suo posto il ceppo colto da Paperino. Il papero, però, si accorge dell'inconveniente e riesce a far uscire di casa i due scoiattoli trattenendo il ceppo.
