Star Wreck

The first Star Wreck animation was inspired by the classic computer game Star Control 2. Star Wreck I was drawn frame by frame using Deluxe Paint Animation, so the visuals are just as crude as the dialogue. Then again, this was one of Samuli's animations to have dialogue. The only thing Star Wreck I has in common with the later episodes are the characters' names. The so called plot is simple: Plingons are attacking Earth and the CPP Kickstart must fight them off. The story is bad, the graphics are bad and the acting is really bad. This is a classic!

Reso disponibile per l'acquisto su PledgeMusic e sul sito ufficiale dei Bring Me the Horizon, l'intero ricavato delle vendite dell'album è stato devoluto in beneficenza alla famosa associazione di beneficenza Teenage Cancer Trust. Gli arriva l'avvenente e sportiva ventenne Karen (Henie) che gli complica piacevolmente la vita. Per gli spettatori statunitensi è un musical (meglio: una canzone con musiche e balli) come tanti, ma per gli italiani che alla fine della guerra avevano almeno quattordici anni qualcosa di più: nella loro memoria coincide con la pace ritrovata, l'impatto con l'orchestra di Glenn Miller che suona "In the Mood", "It Happened in Sun Valley", "The Kiss Polka", "I Know Why", le spaccate dei Nicholas Brothers nel numero "Chattanooga Choo Choo". Fu uno dei film hollywoodiani che "avanzarono" in Italia con le truppe alleate nel biennio 1944-45, e infatti fu visto prima a Roma prima che a Milano.

Nel lontano 1940 la Walt Disney Production stupiva il mondo (di allora) con un film di animazione che 'metteva in immagini' alcuni dei più famosi brani di musica classica. Il film avrebbe dovuto intitolarsi didascalicamente "Il concerto filmato". Qualcuno ebbe la felice idea di chiamarlo Fantasia e quel titolo fece il giro del globo. Fantasia 2000 che è stato in gestazione nei laboratori Disney sin dal 1991, invece non convince fino in fondo.

Goshu è un violoncellista diligente ma mediocre che suona per una piccola orchestra cittadina e per il cinema locale durante i primi anni del '900. Fatica durante le prove ed è spesso rimproverato dal suo direttore durante i preparativi per un imminente esecuzione della Sesta Sinfonia di Beethoven (la Sinfonia Pastorale). Nel corso di quattro notti, Goshu è visitato a casa sua da animali parlanti mentre sta praticando.

Il maestro Topolinskij (alias Topolino) dirige un'orchestra radiofonica eseguendo l'overture della "Cavalleria Leggera" di Franz von Suppé. Lo sponsor Sylvester Maccheroni (ovvero Pietro Gambadilegno, chiamato in originale "Macaroni") ne ordina una nuova esecuzione dal vivo. Il giorno dell'esibizione però Pippo fa cadere gli strumenti musicali sotto un ascensore, schiacciandoli. Gli orchestrali cercano così di arrangiarsi con quel che resta degli strumenti, ma i suoni che ne escono producono solo effetti comici. Tra di essi un irritato Paperino arriva addirittura ad andarsene così che Topolino è costretto a minacciarlo con una pistola per farlo tornare al suo posto ed eseguire il pezzo finale. Alla fine, Maccheroni è disperato perché sicuro che sia stato un fiasco, ma a sorpresa il pubblico applaude la performance.
