Inchiesta su un delitto della polizia

Un pregiudicato è arrestato con l'accusa di furto con scasso. L'uomo si professa innocente, ma nel tentativo di estorcergli la confessione, il commissario e due agenti che lo hanno in custodia lo uccidono a suon di pugni. La vedova ottiene però l'apertura di un'inchiesta. Il commissario a cui viene affidato il compito di far piena luce sulla vicenda si accorge subito che le cose non tornano e scopre anche l'esistenza di un teste-chiave (la prostituta Danielle). Nonostante la campagna denigratoria che viene fatta contro di lui, contro la testimone scomoda e contro la famiglia del defunto, il commissario inquirente riesce a condurre i tre poliziotti sul banco degli imputati.
