Rude e un po' cinico giornalista di lungo corso entra in attrito con una docente di giornalismo con poca pratica e molti ideali finché tra i due nasce l'amore. Briosa e divertente commedia che è anche (persino troppo) una lezione sul giornalismo e la sua etica. La scoppiettante sceneggiatura di Fay e Michael Kanin ebbe una designazione all'Oscar insieme con il soave G. Young come attore non professionista, ma anche il duetto Gable-Day fa scintille.

Gunpowder

At the end of September 1941, Soviet artillery troops in besieged Leningrad realize that pretty soon they will fire their last shot, and after that the defense of the city will be doomed. The film is based on a true event: a small group of fearless soldiers transported a large supply of gunpowder through enemy lines to Leningrad.

Tornato dalla terra dei Clifflander, Kenshiro trova ad accoglierlo due messaggeri che lo conducono nel luogo in cui giace Bista. Qui, Tobi lo informa di come Seiji si sia impossessato della fortezza creata dal padre, e di come siano cambiate le cose: adesso, infatti, il popolo si è schierato dalla parte dei fratelli, e li adora come se fossero due divinità. Tutto ciò ha notevolmente mutato l'animo del semplice informatore che, accecato dalla prospettiva di poter diventare il dominatore assoluto, imprigiona lo stesso Kenshiro, e organizza un attacco in massa contro la fortezza. Tuttavia, prima che ciò accada, Seiji si infiltra tra le fila di quest'ultimo, e riporta Bista sul suo originario trono. La situazione sembrerebbe disperata, tuttavia, l'apparizione di un misterioso personaggio permetterà la liberazione del maestro di Hokuto, e, in seguito, dello stesso Seiji dal suo frainteso quanto triste passato.

William commette anche l'"errore" di innamorarsi della figlia del ricco rivale di suo papà che possiede invece una grandiosa e moderna imbarcazione. L'arrivo di un ciclone rimescolerà le carte.

Sanjuro

Il seguito della "Sfida del samurai" è un buon film, anche se non all'altezza dell'originale. Girato da Kurosawa per sfruttare il successo del precedente, risulta, comunque, un film valido e divertente, nelle corde del Kurosawa più avventuroso.

Lovable goon Munna falls for a morning radio host by the name of Jahnvi, who also runs an elders' home which an unscrupulous builder seeks to attain. In order to gain Jahnvi’s attention, he cheats his way to winning a Mahatma Gandhi radio quiz. La tragedia del Titanic

Questo film tedesco poco conosciuto racconta la vera storia del transatlantico britannico che ha incontrato un tragico destino. Ernst Fritz Fürbringer interpreta il presidente della White Star Line, che incautamente ha spinto il capitano del Titanic (Otto Wernicke) a fare la traversata più rapida possibile verso New York. È interessante notare che il regista Herbert Selpin è stato arrestato dalla Gestapo durante la produzione di questo film e la censura tedesca ha vietato il film per le sue scene di panico e terrore.

Like many of Miike's works, the film examines the underbelly of respectable Japanese society and the problems of assimilation faced by non-ethnically Japanese people in Japan.

Shangku Shelter

Zanskar is a remote kingdom in the northwest Indian Himalaya, where local people are snow-bound for six months of the year. About 10,000 Zanskaris live in the isolated valley. In winter, mountain passes are blocked, the summer Jeep road closes and buses stop. Two decades ago, three friends founded a ski school - to enable winter travel in the valley, improve quality of life, and to encourage young people to stay in Zanskar by helping establish a culture of mountain sports. The film tells the story of this friendship, the ski school and the development of skiing in the area. Along the way a bigger question is raised. Most recently, the federal government announced a major road building project that will provide year round access to Zanskar. How can Zanskar's wilderness be preserved? It is only a matter of time before the winter road is completed, and the "Big India" rushes in.
