Durante il trambusto scatenato dal Pluto-leone, però, gli occhiali si rompono e Paperino deve vedersela con l'animale inferocito che cerca di mangiarlo. Durante l'inseguimento nella casa, i due cadono giù dal tetto e Pluto torna normale. Così sorride a Paperino, e il papero, vedendo i denti dell'animale, scappa via terrorizzato, lasciando Pluto perplesso.
