The film traces the journey of OM Shashtri, an American citizen of Indian origin, who loses all his wealth overnight to the global recession & has been asked to vacate his home by the bank unless he pays up $100,000 (mortgaged amount) within 30 days. Seeing no other option Om comes to India to sell a small piece of an ancestral property. But within days of landing in India he is kidnapped by a 'recession-hit' underworld gang those who think that he is still a millionaire. What happens to Om, is he able to save his home, how did the 'poor' gangster cope with their 'poor' catch & what do small town Indian gangsters have to say to President Obama...is largely forms the rest of the story. The film, showcases how global recession/ meltdown impacted lives from an America based businessman to underworld dons in the dusty plains of small town India.

City on Fire

Ko Chow è un poliziotto infiltrato negli ambienti criminali di Hong Kong. Fu è un rapinatore malinconico con una morale sporcata dal sangue. Fu coinvolge l’agente sotto copertura in un colpo in gioielleria che sfocia in tragedia. Sconvolto dagli eventi e disorientato, Ko Chow troverà sostegno proprio in Fu con cui instaurerà un saldo rapporto di amicizia e fraternità.

Da un romanzo di Graham Greene. Il piccolo Philip, figlio di un ambasciatore, ha una sconfinata ammirazione per il suo maggiordomo, Herbert. Durante un'assenza dei genitori, Philip è affidato alle cure del maggiordomo e di sua moglie. Per involontaria colpa di Philip, la moglie scopre che il marito la tradisce. Durante un litigio, senza nessuna colpa del marito, cade e muore. Il piccolo Philip, turbato dalla tragedia, si convince che il maggiordomo abbia ucciso la moglie e intralcia le indagini della polizia per difendere il suo adorato Herbert. Alla fine l'ispettore si convince che il maggiordomo è innocente, ma Philip non prova più ammirazione per lui.

The Four Troublesome Heads

One of the greatest of black art pictures. The conjurer appears before the audience, with his head in its proper place. He then removes his head, and throwing it in the air, it appears on the table opposite another head, and both detached heads sing in unison. The conjurer then removes it a third time. You then see all three of his heads, which are exact duplicates, upon the table at one time, while the conjurer again stands before the audience with his head perfectly intact, singing in unison with the three heads upon the table. He closes the picture by bowing himself from the stage.

Hazel runs a beauty salon out of her house, but makes extra money by providing ruthless women the oppurtunity to perform hit jobs. L.T. is a parasite, and contacts Hazel looking for work after he runs out of money. She is reluctant to use him for a hit, since she prefers using women, but decides to try him on a trial basis. Meanwhile, the cop she pays off wants an arrest to make it look like he's doing his job, but Hazel doesn't want to sacrifice any of her "associates". The sleazy side of life is explored in this delightfully dark and deadpan film.

It is a complex tale of feelings and misconceptions, acted out within the head of the main character, as part of Rohmer's attempt to more easily simulate the mindscape quality of literature within a film.
