La rappresentazione, che è stata anche commercializzata in versione DVD, ha visto protagonisti oltre ai membri del trio (Aldo Baglio, Giovanni Storti e Giacomo Poretti) anche Marina Massironi, Corrado Guzzanti, Antonio Cornacchione e Raul Cremona. Il titolo è un gioco di parole in quanto presenta una forte assonanza con la frase "tel chi el terùn" ("eccolo qui il terrone"). In effetti, il trio - che è composto da due attori settentrionali e uno meridionale - deve parte del suo successo alla forte contrapposizione linguistico-caratteriale dei propri membri e utilizza talvolta, sempre in senso bonariamente scherzoso, anche la parola "terrone" nei propri sketch.

Durante le ricerche capote imparerà a conoscere gli assassini, e in particolare stringerà un rapporto amichevole con Perry Smith, un uomo tranquillo e complesso con un passato molto duro.
