Dopo essersi ritrovati per affrontare gli esami della maturità, i sette protagonisti del film decidono di organizzare quel famoso viaggio di fine scuola che non erano riusciti a fare ai tempi del liceo. Accompagnati, chi volontariamente e chi no, da mogli, fidanzate, genitori e figli, vivranno nuove avventure e nuovi percorsi di crescita in un'isola della Grecia, rivelando ognuno nuove debolezze, a dimostrazione che la vera "maturità" non si raggiunge mai completamente.

David è un ragazzino che vive in Australia. Suo padre, Peter, è un genitore severo e dalla personalità soverchiante. L'uomo vorrebbe offrirgli del denaro per studiare negli Stati Uniti, ma Peter si oppone all'idea di separarsi dal figlio. Nel frattempo David diventa amico di una scrittrice più anziana di lui, che lo convince a partire. Questa volta David, disobbedendo al padre, si reca a Londra.

Il ritorno di Godzilla

Il giovane Ryota non si rassegna alla scomparsa del fratello Yata, dato per disperso dopo una tempesta. Va a cercarlo con una barca, che a causa di una tempesta fa naufragio su un'isola. Qui Ryota scopre che l'organizzazione dei Bamboo Rossi tiene in schiavitù gli abitanti di Infant Island e per tenere lontani i curiosi dall'isola, usano un mostro: Ebirah, un astice gigantesco. Ryota allora raggiunge Infant Island e si ricongiunge con Yata, salvato dagli isolani. I due fratelli trovano sull'isola Godzilla in una sorta di letargo. Decidono per aiutare gli isolani, di risvegliarlo (piantandoli una sciabola nella schiena che viene colpita da un fulmine) per combattere Ebirah e i Bamboo Rossi...
