Nonostante l'accordo tra i giapponesi e Mothra fosse chiaro, il governo si dirige verso il luogo dove Godzilla era precipitato per prelevarne le ossa. Con grande sorpresa di tutti il dinosauro mutante è ancora vivo e immediatamente distrugge i laboratori dirigendosi verso Tokyo con un solo obiettivo: distruzione totale. Mothra lo affronta ma Godzilla la sconfigge con il suo potentissimo raggio radioattivo. I giapponesi allora ricostruiscono in fretta e furia Mecha-Godzilla e lo scagliano al fianco della farfalla gigante contro Godzilla...

Due orribili mostri stanno distruggendo Tokyo e Godzilla, accorso come sempre per difendere la Terra, si trova in difficoltà. Mari Shiraki is an up-and-coming ballerina under the patronage of Eikichi as well. Gamera - Il mostro gigante

Nei cieli del Polo Nord si svolge un combattimento tra due aerei nemici, uno dei quali viene colpito e precipita e si schianta nel ghiaccio. Questa esplosione, simile a quella nucleare, risveglia Gamera, gigantesca tartaruga alta 60 metri che dormiva sepolta nel ghiaccio da circa 8.000 anni. Il mostro si immerge nel mare e fa rotta verso il Giappone mentre scienziati e forze armate si mobilitano per fermarlo. Una volta raggiunta la terraferma, Gamera, che pure ha rispetto per la vita degli esseri umani specialmente se bambini, provoca una impressionante serie di devastazioni. Però un bambino di questi, fissato con le tartarughe e salvato dallo stesso Gamera, si adopererà per impedire che la gigantesca tartaruga venga uccisa.
