Il primo ministro risolve alla maniera dei grandi supereroi occidentali le grandi controversie planetarie affrontando e sconfiggendo, grazie a tecniche mahjong, personaggi come il corrotto Kim Jong-Il e “Papa Bush”. Nella Laggenda di Koizumi c’è molto del Giappone di oggi: la convinzione che la politica non sia altro che un gioco tra ego in lotta tra di loro; o come anche il complesso di inferiorità dei giapponesi nei confronti del resto del mondo e il forte nazionalismo della popolazione. Ma non solo: per vincere, Koizumi non si fa problemi a barare. Proprio come il paese che rappresenta, piccolo e sprovvisto di risorse naturali ma capace di comunque di sopraffare le grandi potenze.

Ogni tanto gli anniversari non vengono per nuocere. È il caso del sessantesimo del Festival di Cannes che ha spinto il suo Presidente e mentore Gil Jacob a celebrare offrendo ai registi di cui sopra la possibilità di realizzare un film di 3 minuti avente al centro la sala cinematografica o comunque l'idea di film già realizzato. Quindi niente lavoro del set, registi e attori ecc.. ma l'opera finita e il suo rapporto con il luogo che resta ancora (almeno idealmente) al centro della sua fruizione. Ne è uscito un mosaico davvero interessante di letture e di spunti.
