Negative Numbers è la vera storia del carcere minorile di Tbilisi, in Georgia, nei primi anni 2000. In this documentary we meet five children in Sweden and see what happened in their lives. Robin was nine years old, but he already knew what a prison looked like and the bad a punishment can do. Frida was not yet born when we filmed her mother Angela in 1983. Her sister Malin lived for several years in a foster family. Bosse was 14 years old and in 9th grade when we met him in 1978. He was the only guy in the class who had glasses. Marie received many postcards and letters from her father, but very rarely met him while she was growing up.

McCoy Tyner - Guitars

Il DVD riprende gli artisti in studio, pianoforte è armonia e ritmo con passaggi di interplay, nella miglior tradizione di Tyner; il disegno melodico è lasciato ai solisti della chitarra, che personalizzano i brani. Con Scofield prevale certamente la fusion, con trame a tratti forse troppo prolisse. Con Ribot emerge un carattere più avant, che Tyner compensa con una base tonale chiara. Fleck dà vita a una simbiosi molto interessante, con un banjo non banalmente tradizionale che a volta ricorda il sitar indiano e introduce contaminazioni sonore molto moderne. Frisell introduce timbri quasi “new age”, fluidi, a tratti narcotizzati, basati su arpeggi più che su passaggi melodici; forse è l’artista con cui Tyner riesce a fondersi meglio, riducendo la separazione tra accompagnatore e solista. Con Trucks i brani hanno tutto sommato meno personalità; Greenslaves è un traditional riprodotto in chiave di divagazione divertita.

In this German political drama, an ex-Stasi agent encounters an old friend whom he may have betrayed after his friend tried to escape East Germany. The former East German agent is Otto Skrodt who after many years is about to be promoted in the highest government ranks. He is anxious to maintain a squeaky clean image. His daughter is Isabelle. The young and friendly Kalle returns after spending many years in jail for his escape attempts. He doesn't know exactly who blew the whistle, but his friend Skrodt is definitely under suspicion. Kalle returns to ostensibly renew the friendship and to see Isabelle whom he loves. The duplicitous friendship between the two men becomes the main focus of the story which features interesting plot twists at the end.
