Dopo che Leon ha lasciato la sua squadra nella storica sconfitta per 25-1 contro la nazionale, Die Wilden Kerle si è sciolto. Solo il piccolo Nerv crede ancora nei suoi vecchi eroi e cerca di riunire i ragazzi adulti con l'aiuto del suo temuto tiratore laterale. L'ex migliore amico di Leon, Fabi, ha nel frattempo fondato la sua squadra, la squadra femminile, "The Beastly Beasts", e sfida "The Wild Soccer Bunch" a duello nella Grotta di Nattern.

Non è un paese per giovani

Sandro ha poco più di vent’anni, è gentile, a volte insicuro e il suo sogno segreto è diventare uno scrittore. Luciano invece è coraggioso e brillante, ma con un misterioso lato oscuro. S’incontrano tra i tavoli di un ristorante dove lavorano entrambi come camerieri. Come tanti loro coetanei, Sandro e Luciano sentono che la loro vita in Italia non ha alcuna prospettiva. Si scelgono istintivamente e decidono, presi da un’euforica incoscienza, di cercare un futuro per loro a Cuba, la nuova frontiera della speranza dove tutto può ancora accadere. Il progetto è quello di aprire un ristorante italiano che offra ai clienti il wi-fi -ancora raro sull'isola- grazie alle nuove ma limitate concessioni governative. Con Nora, la strana ragazza che li aspetta all’Avana come un destino, scopriranno che esiste anche un modo glorioso di perdersi, che darà un senso profondo alla fatalità che li ha fatti incontrare.

"Loro", diviso in due parti, è un racconto di finzione, in costume, che narra di fatti verosimili o inventati, in Italia, tra il 2006 e il 2010. Attraverso una composita costellazione di personaggi, "Loro" ambisce a tratteggiare, per squarci o intuizioni, un momento storico definitivamente chiuso che, in una visione molto sintetica delle cose, potrebbe definirsi amorale, decadente, ma straordinariamente vitale. E "Loro" ambisce altresì a raccontare alcuni italiani, nuovi e antichi al contempo. Anime di un purgatorio immaginario e moderno che stabiliscono, sulla base di spinte eterogenee quali ambizione, ammirazione, innamoramento, interesse, tornaconto personale, di provare a ruotare intorno a una sorta di paradiso in carne e ossa: un uomo di nome Silvio Berlusconi.

Un ex-fuorilegge, mentre tenta di sfuggire alla spietata caccia degli "sparvieri", suoi antichi compagni di malefatte, si imbatte in un bizzarro vagabondo, il quale, apparentemente senza alcun motivo, gli si affianca nel combattere gli sparvieri. Uno dopo l'altro i banditi soccombono ai due guerrieri, e questi ultimi si trovano alla fine ad affrontare il malvagio capo-banda, che "allevava" i suoi adepti fin da bambini, educandoli alla crudeltà ed alla lotta senza quartiere: di fronte al vecchio, ma ancora temibile bandito, i due amici si preparano alla lotta, ma il vecchio rivela al suo antico discepolo che il suo compagno altri non è che una vittima degli sparvieri, che ha avuto la sua famiglia distrutta dalla banda.

The honest man is imprisoned but in the end Lia decides to come forth with the truth.
