La banda del terrore

In seguito ad una serie di furti compiuti in alcune banche londinesi, Scotland Yard arresta Clay Shelton, colpevole dell'uccisione di un poliziotto. Condannato alla pena capitale, Shelton predice all'ispettore capo Long che quanti hanno avuto in qualche modo a che fare con la sua cattura e la sua morte, moriranno in breve tempo. Subito dopo l'esecuzione, infatti, il boia che ha eseguito la condanna e il pubblico ministero muoiono in misteriosi incidenti. Dopo essere scampato ad un attentato, l'ispettore Long ordina che la tomba in cui è sepolto il criminale venga aperta. Al suo interno, al posto del cadavere, c'è la lista delle persone destinate a morire. Tra mille pericoli, attentati e morti misteriose, Long, con l'aiuto di Nora, la sua fidanzata, inizia ad indagare.
