In the Claws of a Century Wanting explores the harsh lives led in the backstreets of the port, a world of busy working people, ships, cranes and stacks of huge containers. We follow the lives of five people exposed to the everyday violence that is poverty.

Anton and Erika started out as friends for five years and got into a romantic relationship for seven years. Anton is a commercial director while Erika is a former band member and becomes his stay-at-home partner. The day finally comes when he asks her to marry him.

Early morning silence is broken by screeching tires as a helicopter bears down on a speeding vehicle. Taking a quick corner, the team tumbles out into the woods as their car pulls away. Now they must make their way through the thick of nature and thick gunfire to accomplish their mission. Not a single word of dialogue is spoken throughout the entire film. Panda! Go, panda!

Mimiko è una vispa bambina che vive con la nonna dopo la morte dei suoi genitori. Un giorno la nonna parte per un viaggio improvviso con il treno: è un po' in apprensione per dover abbandonare la bambina da sola e si fa promettere di comportarsi bene e di scrivere una lettera al giorno. Al ritorno a casa Mimiko ha però una sorpresa: nel cortile ci sono due panda, il grosso Papanda e il figlio Pan, appena scappati dallo zoo e che erano stati attratti dal bosco di bambù sul retro della casetta. La bambina, che non ha più il padre, decide quindi che il grosso Papanda diventi suo papà, in cambio lei diventerà la mamma del piccolo Pan. Da quel momento Mimiko si ritrova con una vera famiglia, che non si divide neppure quando i due panda ritornano allo zoo, visto che Papanda e Pan potranno tornare liberamente a trovarla.

T'Challa, principe di Wakanda, fa ritorno nel suo paese e scopre che questo è sotto attacco della razza aliena conosciuta come Chitauri. Il padre di T'Challa viene ucciso e i Chitauri sono liberi di rubare il vibranio, una lega presente solo in Wakanda e con cui gli alieni costruiscono le loro armi e navicelle. T'Challa assume l'identità di Black Panther e chiede aiuto a Capitan America per battere i nemici. Nick Fury, direttore dello S.H.I.E.L.D., riunisce, cosi, gli Ultimates composti dal già citato Capitan America, Iron Man, Giant Man, Wasp e La Vedova Nera. Dopo un battibecco iniziale con i soldati del Wakanda, che vede Wasp venir ferita e lo scudo di Capitan America venir rubato, gli Ultimates si uniscono a Pantera Nera per combattere i Chitauri. A loro si unisce anche Thor.

Negli anni '70, in Antartide, Godzilla viene fatto cadere dentro un pozzo di ghiaccio da un sottomarino volante col muso a trivella, il Gotengo (già visto in Atragon, film di Ishiro Honda del 1963). A causa di ciò, Godzilla finisce in ibernazione. Nel 2004 l'umanità vive un periodo pacifico: grazie all'attività dell'EDF (Earth Defence Force), munito di armi supertecnologiche come un'intera flotta di Gotengo e di soldati dotati di superpoteri, i mostri che assalivano il mondo da tempo hanno smesso di essere un problema. L'ultimo ad essere distrutto dal Gotengo è il serpente marino Manda (anch'esso visto in Atragon), annientato con il cannone Zero Assoluto. Improvvisamente, in superficie, avviene un simultaneo attacco di tutti i mostri conosciuti, eccetto Godzilla...
