Life of a Mutt

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

Travelling Hawkers in Frankfurt am Main

A documentary about unemployed people who bought fruit and vegetables at moderate prices at the wholesale market and sold these in the streets of Frankfurt. Since they had no permits they were constantly with their bulky carts on the run from the police. One part of the film was shot at the fairgrounds in front of the wholesale market. Newspaper and lottery ticket vendors, propagandists offering their ware for a few pfennigs, all convey the mood of a time when need made people inventive.

Il film fu "il primo prodotto in odorama": grattando e annusando una speciale scheda, si potevano sperimentare in sala gli odori della storia che passava sullo schermo. Visto oggi, rimane abbastanza irriverente, pur essendo meno "maledetto" dei precedenti.

Orson Welles narra direttamente allo spettatore diverse storie riguardanti quadri falsi e veri, falsari di professione e critici d'arte che scambiano i quadri dei falsari per veri: tra questi, Elmyr de Hory, che falsificava celebri quadri, Clifford Irving, che falsificava biografie, il miliardario Howard Hughes e il pittore Pablo Picasso.

Una commedia sexy in una notte di mezza estate

Andrew, un inventore dilettante un po' svitato, abita in una villa isolata insieme a sua moglie Adrian, noiosa e trascurata dal marito, perso dietro i suoi congegni, ora saltuariamente volanti, ora magici. Durante un fine settimana arrivano altre due coppie: Leopold, un anziano professore di filosofia, materialista dichiarato, presuntuoso e pedante, la sua fidanzata Ariel e Maxwell, un medico libertino, con la sua infermiera tuttofare Dulcy, tanto belloccia quanto oca e facile. Le tre coppie trascorrono così, tra discussioni filosofiche, scambi di partner, esperimenti scientifici, equivoci e amori al chiaro di luna, un eccitante, divertente e alla fine anche un po' tragico weekend.
