In 1969 at a concert in Monterey James Brown announced his intention to retire from touring but it wasn't until 1975 that he finally stopped. Then in 1979 three young television producers convinced him to make a comeback performance. This outstanding concert was captured and then due to unfortunate circumstances the videotapes were locked in a vault for twelve years and only now can they be seen.

Tra i due giovani nasce l'amore. Quando Absalon, all'improvviso, muore, sua madre Merethe accusa Anna di stregoneria...

Tarda primavera

Shukichi, professore vedovo, e la figlia Noriko trascorrono felicemente le loro giornate insieme, ma la zia Masa insiste perché Noriko si sposi. Shukichi comincia a vagliare dei possibili pretendenti, ma intuisce ben presto che la figlia non ha nessuna intenzione di abbandonarlo. Di fronte alle pressioni di Masa e convinto di operare nel giusto, Shukichi inventa quindi uno stratagemma che possa persuadere Noriko: fingerà di volersi risposare con una donna più giovane.

Durante il viaggio di ritorno sulla terra ferma (per riaccompagnare Isamu dai suoi genitori), i ragazzi faranno di nuovo dei brutti incontri che li costringeranno, loro malgrado, a scoprire quello che sta succedendo e naturalmente a fermarlo.
