Non appena l'ISIS ha iniziato a perdere terreno, è scomparsa da internet. La regista Benedetta Argentieri l'ha ritrovata in un campo di prigionia in Siria due anni dopo, quando ormai l’ISIS aveva perso la guerra contro l’esercito di liberazione curdo, realizzando un'intervista in esclusiva.

Il tenore della superstar José Carreras è Don José, il soldato di una piccola città che attira l'attenzione di Carmen e viene distrutto dalla sua crescente ossessione per lei. Samuel Ramey è il matador carismatico Escamillo, che attira Carmen lontano da Don José con tragico risultato.
