Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Keller Williams is literally a one-man jam band. His fascinating live shows feature him solo on-stage with a Gibson Echoplex Digital Pro looping unit, and he creates his backing loops in the moment, building and improvising as he goes on his custom-made ten-string guitar. Pavel Ivanovich Chichikov plans to buy the titles to “dead souls” and use them as collateral to obtain a large loan. He comes to a small provincial town and begins to proposition the local landowners. These landowners are revealed to be so petty and avaricious that not even Chichikov’s amazing offer can be worked to his advantage on them. Some stall, some refuse for no obvious reasons, some promise and then renege, and others want “in on the deal.” In the end, Chichikov, having concluded that the landowners are a hopeless lot, leaves for other regions.

Reso disponibile per l'acquisto su PledgeMusic e sul sito ufficiale dei Bring Me the Horizon, l'intero ricavato delle vendite dell'album è stato devoluto in beneficenza alla famosa associazione di beneficenza Teenage Cancer Trust. La sua data di pubblicazione, inizialmente prevista per il 1º settembre 2016, è stata posticipata a dicembre a causa di problemi riscontrati durante il missaggio e la masterizzazione dell'album.

Per farsi pubblicità Ted Scott (Payne), pianista in un'orchestra swing di un albergo nella stazione sciistica di Sun Valley (Idaho), adotta una fanciulla profuga norvegese. Gli arriva l'avvenente e sportiva ventenne Karen (Henie) che gli complica piacevolmente la vita. Per gli spettatori statunitensi è un musical (meglio: una canzone con musiche e balli) come tanti, ma per gli italiani che alla fine della guerra avevano almeno quattordici anni qualcosa di più: nella loro memoria coincide con la pace ritrovata, l'impatto con l'orchestra di Glenn Miller che suona "In the Mood", "It Happened in Sun Valley", "The Kiss Polka", "I Know Why", le spaccate dei Nicholas Brothers nel numero "Chattanooga Choo Choo". Fu uno dei film hollywoodiani che "avanzarono" in Italia con le truppe alleate nel biennio 1944-45, e infatti fu visto prima a Roma prima che a Milano.

Al teatro Regio di Parma, durante un concerto, il violinista Niccolò Paganini (1782-1840) rivive episodi della sua vita, i successi, le ossessioni erotiche. L'incontro tra il luciferino Klaus Günther Nakszynsky, in arte Kinski, e Paganini era fatale, scritto nelle stelle, date le leggende che circondano la vita sregolata del meno genovese tra i figli di Genova, tutta violino, oro, donne e amor filiale. Il regista s'adegua all'attore: brandeggia la cinepresa come un mitra, ricorre al rallentatore come un alcolizzato alla bottiglia e a un montaggio che vorrebbe essere creativo ed è soltanto sgangherato. A mezza strada tra un gigantesco spot un po' porno e un film sperimentale di avanguardia in ritardo. Il violino è quello di Salvatore Accardo. V.M. 18 anni per una serie di acrobatici congressi carnali, raccontati come stupri graditi alle succubi.

Allegro non troppo

Allegro non troppo è un film a tecnica mista, in parte dal vero e in parte d'animazione, prodotto e diretto da Bruno Bozzetto. Dichiaratamente ispirato al classico disneyano Fantasia, è composto da sei episodi animati (più un finale composto da diversi cortometraggi di pochi secondi), ciascuno accompagnato da un celebre brano di musica classica, inseriti in un film-cornice girato dal vero, in bianco e nero. In un teatro vuoto, un pomposo presentatore introduce un insolito spettacolo: mentre un direttore d'orchestra fa eseguire i brani a un'improbabile orchestra improvvisata, formata da vecchiette in abiti belle époque prelevate da un ospizio, un disegnatore, tenuto incatenato per anni, ne realizza in tempo reale la versione animata.

Metallica and San Francisco Symphony: S&M

L'intero concerto è stato filmato sotto la direzione di Wayne Isham ed è stato pubblicato nei formati VHS e DVD. L'edizione VHS era costituita da due videocassette contenente l'intero concerto (la seconda videocassetta inoltre conteneva il dietro le quinte della realizzazione del disco), mentre il DVD contiene anche un documentario di 41 minuti sul concerto con interviste ai Metallica, a Micheal Kamen e all'orchestra. Il DVD inoltre consente la possibilità di vedere quattro brani attraverso l'opzione multi-angolo (Of Wolf and Man, Fuel, Sad but True, e Enter Sandman) e contiene due versioni di No Leaf Clover: "Slice & Dice Video Version" (quella utilizzata per il videoclip del brano) e "Maestro Edit".
