A year to the day after Dorothy and the people of the Emerald City defeated Urfin Jus, the villain is trying to exact his revenge. Unfortunately, Dorothy’s guest, Tim, is overcome by curiosity and picks up the shoes, accidentally transporting himself, Dorothy and the slippers to the Land of Oz. Per i fans di De Palma.

Gorčakov è attratto dall’uomo e va a trovarlo. Durante il lungo dialogo fra i due Domenico affida a Gorčakov la missione di compiere in sua vece un rito salvifico: attraversare con una candela accesa la piscina di acque termali di Bagno Vignoni.

Come "L'ora del lupo" e "La vergogna", girati negli stessi anni, anche questa pellicola si svolge in un'isola del Baltico dove i personaggi si torturano psicologicamente a vicenda. I protagonisti principali sono un artista di mezza età e una donna che forse è stata responsabile d'un incidente in cui hanno perso la vita il marito e il figlio. I due provano a vivere insieme, ma il tentativo finirà in un disastro.
