Dopo circa trent'anni di carriera ed il riconoscimento come uno dei gruppi più influenti ed artisticamente rilevanti di sempre, a fine anni '90 gli Yes tornarono in studio con il leggendario produttore Bruce Fairbairn per incidere uno dei loro dischi migliori degli ultimi 15 anni, "The Ladder". Con un nuovo album da proporre, la band decise di tornare "on the road" per una serie di esibizioni dal vivo.
