Tra le fabbriche della periferia pratese è rinvenuto il corpo senza vita di un bambino di dieci anni, precedentemente scomparso. Il giorno successivo, in un ufficio di Vaiano, un impiegato di cinquanta anni, Massimo Gori, viene rapito da un gruppo di ragazzi. L'ispettore Brozzi, vicino alla pensione, è incaricato di seguire il caso, assieme al giovane e inesperto Vannini. I sospetti cadono sulla "banda del Brasiliano", che ha precedentemente tentato - goffamente - di rapire altri soggetti. I rapitori sono quattro ragazzi sulla trentina: il Biondo, il Mutolo, il Randagio e il Brasiliano. Il movente del rapimento è in realtà decisamente insolito. Soltanto le indagini dell'ispettore Brozzi, perseguitato dai ricordi del passato, e di Vannini potranno far luce sul caso...

Meanwhile, the cop she pays off wants an arrest to make it look like he's doing his job, but Hazel doesn't want to sacrifice any of her "associates". The sleazy side of life is explored in this delightfully dark and deadpan film.
