I due diventano prima amanti di Alba, poi “padre” dei suoi nascituri e, infine, suicidi dopo che la donna, amputata anche all'altra gamba, trova l'anima gemella nel signor Arcobaleno, monco in carrozzella. Cerebrale sino all'esasperazione e perverso, è basato sul rapporto uomo-animale, sul corpo dei personaggi (sempre a figura intera senza piani ravvicinati) e sulla pittura (Vermeer soprattutto e i fiamminghi del '400 come Robert Campin e Jan Van Eyck).
