Nel 1987 viene abolita la legge marziale dal governo di Taiwan. Jia-han e Birdy sono due studenti in un collegio cattolico. Le loro vite vengono sconvolte quando vengono ammesse le ragazze nello stesso collegio rompendo quello che fino ad allora era un equilibrio per loro perfetto. La repressione, l'omofobia ed il desiderio di rompere quelle regole così stringenti spingono i due ragazzi oltre quelli che fino ad allora erano dei limiti non detti per scoprire cosa li lega.

Elling

Elling e Kjel sono due uomini che hanno vissuto anni in un ospedale psichiatrico. Ora, finalmente dimessi, devono confrontarsi con le difficoltà del reinserimento nella società. Travelling Hawkers in Frankfurt am Main

A documentary about unemployed people who bought fruit and vegetables at moderate prices at the wholesale market and sold these in the streets of Frankfurt. Since they had no permits they were constantly with their bulky carts on the run from the police. One part of the film was shot at the fairgrounds in front of the wholesale market. Newspaper and lottery ticket vendors, propagandists offering their ware for a few pfennigs, all convey the mood of a time when need made people inventive.

Through Main Street with an Orchestra

Vasily Muravin, 50, a teacher at the Moscow Institute of Management, is experiencing a crisis. At work, the place of the head of the department is replaced by the more pragmatic, but limited person Valentin Romanovsky. At home, his wife Lida, who earns at work more than her husband, habitually reproaches him for indecision. It’s hard for Muravin to come to terms with his established attitude to himself, but he is most worried when his wife shows disrespect for his main hobby - playing the guitar. Once, unable to bear the bullying, Muravin suddenly leaves the family (wife and daughter) and from work.

The Four Troublesome Heads

One of the greatest of black art pictures. The conjurer appears before the audience, with his head in its proper place. He then removes his head, and throwing it in the air, it appears on the table opposite another head, and both detached heads sing in unison. The conjurer then removes it a third time. You then see all three of his heads, which are exact duplicates, upon the table at one time, while the conjurer again stands before the audience with his head perfectly intact, singing in unison with the three heads upon the table. He closes the picture by bowing himself from the stage.

Uccellacci e uccellini

Totò e suo figlio Ninetto vagano per le periferie e le campagne circostanti la città di Roma. Durante il loro cammino incontrano un corvo. Il corvo narra loro il racconto di Ciccillo e Ninetto, due monaci francescani a cui San Francesco ordina di evangelizzare i falchi ed i passeri. I due frati non riusciranno a raggiungere il loro obiettivo, perché, pur essendo riusciti ad evangelizzare le due "classi" di uccelli, non avranno posto fine alla loro feroce rivalità: per questa mancanza verranno rimproverati da San Francesco ed invitati ad intraprendere nuovamente il cammino di evangelizzazione. Chiusa la parentesi del racconto, il viaggio di Totò e Ninetto prosegue; il corvo li segue e continua a parlare in tono intellettualistico e altisonante. I protagonisti, in un contesto fortemente visionario, incontrano altri personaggi. Alla fine del film i due, stanchi delle chiacchiere del corvo, lo uccidono e se lo mangiano.
