The Clash: Live in Tokyo

Tra la fine di gennaio e l'inizio di febbraio del 1982 i Clash suonarono per otto spettacoli in Giappone. La band si stava imbarcando in un tour di un mese in estremo oriente che, come volle il destino, sarebbe stato l'ultimo tour con la loro formazione classica. Quando finì, il batterista Topper Headon fu espulso a causa della sua dirompente abitudine alla droga, e la band non sarebbe più stata la stessa. Secondo il libro del giornalista musicale Chris Salewicz "Redemption Song: The Ballad of Joe Stummer", i Clash si rifiutarono di suonare in Giappone prima di questo tour a causa dell'usanza giapponese che vietava al pubblico di alzarsi in piedi. Accettarono di suonare dopo che fu raggiunto un compromesso: i fan poterono stare in piedi, ma solo ai loro posti.

Growing Young

Minks, 16, is living with her Nan who has dementia. Unaware of what Dementia really is, Minks is trying to understand the severity of her Nan’s forgetfulness. He plans to examine the causes of sleep, the causes of insomnia, and recent research on sleep, including a time-lapse film of a man changing positions 55 times during an 8-hour rest: why exercise, he asks, when you can sleep like a top? The film instructs one on how to get a drink of water during the night without waking completely, and other useful skills for the insomniac.
