A picture of the life of the Danish people from the late 1820s to the introduction of the free constitution in 1849. A fictional character, Rasmus Nielsen, travels around the country, first as a traveling teacher, later in other positions, and through his experiences we are introduced to the conditions of various population groups. The central figure in the portrayal of historical figures is the politician Orla Lehmann.

There he retraces his steps, shares his wartime experiences with his son, treats his Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and seeks out the mountain tribespeople he once lived with and fought alongside as a Special Forces officer.

La nuova casa era abitata da una donna di non buona reputazione e un giorno Rana, essendo sola, apre la porta (convinta che si tratti del marito) a uno dei clienti della donna il quale la aggredisce. Da quel momento per Emad inizia una ricerca dell'uomo in cui non vuole coinvolgere la polizia.

Lentamente la jeep attraversa il paesaggio maestoso della campagna del Kurdistan. La strada bianca avvolge con le sue curve gli alberi, le distese di grano, i morbidi picchi, le nuvole, i prati, i sassi, i pochi contadini, quasi smarriti, nello spazio vuoto e solenne. A bordo di un auto da Teheran arriva un gruppo di uomini che stanno cercando un villaggio isolato. A un bambino che li accompagna a destinazione raccontano, mentendo, che stanno cercando un tesoro nel cimitero, in cima alla collina.

Dov'è la casa del mio amico?

Un bambino che vive in un villaggio iraniano cerca di raggiungere un compagno che abita in un altro paesino. Deve consegnargli il quaderno che per errore è rimasto nella sua cartella. Se non potrà fare i compiti, il compagno verrà punito. Kiarostami racconta con tempi sospesi la microdissea del suo protagonista. Sembrano non esserci speranze per l'infanzia iraniana, se non quelle che sorgono dalla forza e dalla generosità interiore. Opera prima della trilogia dedicata alla difficoltà di essere giovani.

Taxi Teheran

Un taxi attraversa le strade di Teheran in un giorno qualsiasi. Passeggeri di diversa estrazione sociale salgono e scendono dalla vettura. Alla guida non c'è un conducente qualsiasi ma Jafar Panahi stesso impegnato a girare un altro film 'proibito'. Panahi è stato condannato dalla 'giustizia' iraniana a 20 anni di proibizione di girare film, scrivere sceneggiature e rilasciare interviste, pena la detenzione per sei anni. Ma non c'è sentenza che possa impedire ad un artista di essere se stesso ed ecco allora che il regista ha deciso di continuare a sfidare il divieto e ancora una volta ci propone un'opera destinata a rimanere quale testimonianza di un cinema che si fa militante proprio perché non fa proclami ma mostra la quotidianità del vivere in un Paese in cui le contraddizioni si fanno sempre più stridenti.

Holy Spider

Siamo a Mashhad, seconda città più grande dell'Iran e importante sito religioso. Nel 2000, un serial killer locale inizia a prendere di mira le prostitute per strada, strangolandone diciassette dopo averle attirate una ad una a casa sua. La stampa lo chiama "il ragno", e tra i giornalisti che coprono il caso c'è Rahimi, una donna che viene da Teheran e si mette sulle tracce dell'assassino. L'uomo si rivelerà essere Saeed Hanaei, ex-militare convinto che Dio gli abbia affidato la missione di liberare la città dalle donne indegne che vendono il proprio corpo.
