San Francisco filmmaker Konrad Steiner took 12 years to complete a montage cycle set to the late Leslie Scalapino’s most celebrated poem, way—a sprawling book-length odyssey of shardlike urban impressions, fraught with obliquely felt social and sexual tensions. Six stylistically distinctive films for each section of way, using sources ranging from Kodachrome footage of sun-kissed S.F. street scenes to internet clips of the Iraq war to a fragmented Fred Astaire dance number.

L'amore arriva in treno

Il ricco manager Aditya, depresso perché la donna che ama ha sposato un altro, decide di partire con il primo treno dalla stazione di Mumbai. Leggendo il titolo "Kambakkht Ishq" potremmo interpretare la prima parola, per assonanza, come combattimento, in realtà ha diversi significati ed interpretazioni e qui è inteso come maledetto, infelice... ishq sappiamo che è riferito ad amore per cui il titolo la dice lunga... Una lotta tra due persone che non credono nell'amore anzi... lo vedono come un inganno della vita, come qualcosa che rende prigionieri ma come succede in questi casi l'amore è cieco e non si ferma davanti ai pregiudizi.
