Godzilla contro Mothra

L'impatto di un meteorite nell'oceano Pacifico, oltre a provocare varie catastrofi a livello climatico, risveglia Godzilla addormentato nel fondo del Pacifico. Un mese dopo ci viene presentato l'archeologo Takuya Fujito, molto simile ad Indiana Jones, che viene arrestato dalle autorità Thailandesi per aver depredato e distrutto un tempio nascosto nella giungla. L'uomo riceve la visita di Dobashi, della Security Agency, di Ando, vicepresidente della Marutomo Enterprise, società distruttiva nei confronti dell'ambiente, e della sua ex moglie Masako. L'uomo viene liberato a patto che indaghi su un'anomalia presente su Infant Island, isola di proprietà della Marutomo. Takuya, Masako ed Ando si recano sull'isola e, dopo una serie di peripezie, scoprono che l'intruso non era altro che un monumentale uovo. Essi vengono poi a sapere da due piccole fate che si tratta dell'uovo di Mothra, la divinità dell'antica civiltà Cosmos...

Dopo l'apparente sconfitta di Godzilla, il governo giapponese vuole usare alcune ossa di Godzilla per ricostruire il robot Mecha-Godzilla, al fine di usarlo come arma di difesa per il Giappone. Mothra tuttavia si dimostra subito contrariata all'esperimento e minaccia di attaccare l'umanità se ciò dovesse avvenire. Nonostante l'accordo tra i giapponesi e Mothra fosse chiaro, il governo si dirige verso il luogo dove Godzilla era precipitato per prelevarne le ossa. Con grande sorpresa di tutti il dinosauro mutante è ancora vivo e immediatamente distrugge i laboratori dirigendosi verso Tokyo con un solo obiettivo: distruzione totale. Mothra lo affronta ma Godzilla la sconfigge con il suo potentissimo raggio radioattivo. I giapponesi allora ricostruiscono in fretta e furia Mecha-Godzilla e lo scagliano al fianco della farfalla gigante contro Godzilla...

Il tiranno di Siracusa

Pitias si reca a Siracusa per incontrare Arcanos, capo dei pitagorici, costretti insieme a lui a nascondersi dalla furia del tiranno Dionisio. In seguito il giovane s'imbatte in un ladro di nome Damon che prima lo deruba, poi lo salva dall'arresto e infine lo denuncia alle guardie di Dionisio. Si pente appena in tempo da avvertire Pitias del gesto, ma vengono entrambi arrestati. Damon offre la sua vita in cambio della loro salvezza, ma Dionisio viene a sapere che la moglie di Pitias sta morendo, così gli offre la possibilità di stare fuori dal carcere e di tornare entro un mese per sostituire Damon al patibolo. Pitias va ad Atene e poi ritorna in Sicilia, proprio mentre le guardie stanno cercando di sacrificare l'amico Damon. L'uomo si oppone al gesto e Dionisio, colpito da tale prova di amicizia, li libera.
