Il 2 agosto del 2006 quando al prestigioso "Jazz in Marciac" si presenta sul palco Brad Mehldau. Fin dalle prime note di "Storm" si capisce subito che la serata é di quelle da ricordare, e infatti il talentuoso pianista statunitense da vita a una strepitosa performance, sovrapponendo a composizioni originali come appunto "Storm" o "Resignation Ballads" dal gusto pop-rock (amore mai nascosto da Mehldau) come "Lithium" dei Nirvana o "Exit Music (For A Film)" dei Radiohead, e classici standard come la superba "My Favorite Things", che rappresenta probabilmente l´apice dell'intera esibizione live. Qui Mehldau smonta letteralmente la struttura dello standard di Rodgers e Hammerstein, riscrivendone l´intera metrica e facendo un superbo uso del timing, dilatando o restringendo le battute in maniera perfetta, incrementando così enormemente la carica emotiva di questo standard.

The title Un enano en el jardin is an allusion to the Super 8 format and the setting where the actions that comprise the film unfold. A catalogue of extreme experiments with the mobility of the camera coordinated with brief improvisations by the Brazilian dancer Alice Bloch. It was mostly filmed with an Instamatic m22 camera (possibly the simplest and lightest Super 8 camera, with a fixed lens and manual diaphragm), so resistant that it functioned in conditions that would be unthinkable with a more complex camera, rotating at high speed around the optical axis or tied to a 35mm reel rewinder.
