The central figure in the portrayal of historical figures is the politician Orla Lehmann.

Windigo

Native Americans clash with the Canadian government as they struggle for independence in this factual Canadian drama set in Quebec during the summer of 1990. Eddie Laroche, a rebellious native leader spawned a national crises when he and his supporters declared the independence of Aki territory in a far-flung area of northern Quebec. He refused to negotiate without the presences of television cameras to record his people's plight. Jean Fontaine was the reporter assigned to the story and much of the film is told from his viewpoint. To reach Laroche's land, negotiators, government officials, and the film crew had to travel by boat. Fontaine is initially cynical and reluctant to do the story, but after he spends time on the boat interviewing it's passengers, his cynicism has dissolves and he realizes he is faced with the presentations of a terribly complex situation. His dilemma provides a main focus for the film.

Gianni e Pinotto detectives

Gianni e Pinotto, autori di soggetti comico-polizieschi, desiderano richiamare su di sé l'attenzione del col. Andrews, direttore della radio. Alla prima di una trasmissione importante, s'introducono abusivamente nell'uditorio. Durante la trasmissione il col. Andrews muore improvvisamente, colpito da una scarica elettrica. E' assodato che si tratta di un delitto, ma chi ne è l'autore? Gianni e Pinotto si fanno credere detective, incaricati delle indagini, dando così origine ad una serie di comiche avventure. Poliziotti autentici prendono Gianni e Pinotto per gli assassini e li costringono a fuggire. Intanto viene estratta una lotteria radiofonica e ne risulta vincitore Pinotto. Egli deve però presentarsi nell'auditorio entro mezz'ora, perché diversamente il premio è perduto. I due, incuranti dei poliziotti, si presentano durante la trasmissione e col loro intervento permettono di scoprire gli assassini. Così, oltre al premio, avranno la fama cui aspiravano, di uomini del mistero.

Fantozzi alla riscossa

Il ragioniere Ugo Fantozzi è ormai in pensione, ma le umiliazioni non sono ancora finite: una volta all'anno viene convocato dalla Megaditta a cui ha regalato i suoi anni migliori per essere mostrato ai nuovi assunti come esempio di "merdaccia", smidollato, pusillamine, inetto.
