Life of a Mutt

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

Pluto sonnambulo

Pluto sta dormendo con un osso davanti a sé, quando l'affamata bassotta Dinah arriva e si mette a leccarlo. Pluto la caccia via, inseguendola fino alla sua cuccia. Poi torna a dormire, ma nel sonno si alza, prende l'osso e lo porta a Dinah. In seguito si sveglia e (senza ricordarsi niente) torna a riprenderselo, credendo che la cagnetta l'abbia rubato. Quando il sonnambulo Pluto le porta l'osso per la seconda volta, Dinah decide di sotterrarlo, ma Pluto si sveglia e se ne accorge. Infuriato, distrugge la cuccia della cagnolina, e si accorge che essa era anche la casa dei cuccioli di Dinah. Si mette a piovere e Pluto, distrutto dal senso di colpa, ha l'idea di dare riparo a Dinah e i cuccioli nella sua cuccia, regalando loro anche tutti i suoi ossi. Dinah gli dà un bacio per ringraziarlo, e Pluto, con un'espressione sognante, si ripara dalla pioggia sotto un foglio di giornale.
